1. Each serious website has a site disclaimer and privacy policy, where you can find that your contact details and credit card information won’t be published and given away to the third party;
2. Look for a “about us section” (or similar to that) to find out the philosophy of this site, what is special about them and what they can offer to their clients. If they don’t have it, then it’s possible that clients are not their priority;
3. There always is a contact information (email or phone number and postal address from where they deliver their products) so you can contact the site, if you can’t find it, then it’s impossible to contact them if you face any problems when shopping at that site, so if you decide to purchase you take all risks on you;
4. It’s great if the site has a costumer testimonials, so you know that there are people who are satisfied with particular online store and their services.

Basically, you have to be comfortable when shopping online, if something makes you feel suspicious about particular shop, perhaps it is better to choose another one, more over because there are millions of great and trustful online stores around.
